IN THE COMMUNITY
Firmly Rooted In Our Community
We’re proud of our deep New England roots and the neighbors we serve locally. By encouraging our employees to give back, we create a vital connection with the community that is central to all that we do.
“For us, identifying needs of our community and finding ways to make an impact is not only the right thing to do, it just makes good sense. Being an active and proud member of our community is an integral part of the fabric of Genesis HR Solutions and will always be a cornerstone of who we are as a company.”
Bob Burbidge, CEO
Genesis Battlegreen Run
Since 1996, the annual Genesis Battlegreen Run has raised more than $300,000 for affordable housing, scholarship funds, cancer research, and many other causes. Each fall, hundreds of runners and walkers participate in the run, which is held in the heart of historic Lexington, Massachusetts.
In 2014, our employees helped form the Battlegreen Run Foundation, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that supports the charities served by our annual road race and provides a platform for other nonprofits to use our race to raise funds and awareness for their missions as well.
Proceeds from this event support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Boston, the Ovarian Cancer Education Awareness Network, the Pauline Briggs Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Genesis Community Fund, and other very worthy causes. You can learn more about the Battlegreen Run here.
Serving Our Community
Each year, Genesis HR employees are offered one paid community service day to serve however they choose—in the past, our team members have delivered turkey meals on Thanksgiving day, assisted at local food banks, and delivered flowers for local nursing homes for the day of service.
In addition, our employees and our company give both time and financial support and participate in numerous charitable organizations and causes important to them. Our team members are proud to support causes like Habitat for Humanity, Burlington Public Schools donations/support, Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham, Fed Up With Cancer, and more.
