The Genesis HR Solutions Story
How our company started and where we’re headed.
For 25 years, we’ve removed the worries of HR management so our clients can focus on what they do best.
1991: Genesis Employment Services Inc. was founded by Bob Burbidge. The goal? Be the regional HR partner that cares deeply about their client businesses and their employees.
1992: We changed our name to Genesis Consolidated Services Inc.
1996: The first-ever Genesis Battlegreen Run was held in Lexington, Massachusetts. To date, the run has raised more than $300,000 for local charities. Learn more about the Battlegreen Run here.
1996: We earned our Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) accreditation. We’ve been a proud ESAC-accredited PEO ever since.
2002: Genesis founder and CEO Bob Burbidge was named president and board member of The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO)—a huge nod to our company and Bob’s leadership in the industry.
2012: Our company’s growth meant a new name was in order. The company’s name officially changed from Genesis Consolidated Services Inc. to Genesis HR Solutions Inc., and we moved to our new headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts.
November 2014: Our team helped the New Hampshire Business Enterprise Tax (BET) pass—a huge win for small businesses in the state that means clients, not their PEOs, can claim the BET tax credits against business profits. You can learn more about our work with that policy here.
December 2014: The Small Business Efficiency Act (SBEA) became law. This legislation means PEOs are recognized on a federal level and is a huge win for PEOs and their clients. You can learn more about this legislation here.
2016: We celebrated our 25th anniversary and look forward to providing industry-leading PEO services to small businesses in New England and across the country.
