Bob Burbidge


Bob Burbidge, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Genesis, started the company in 1991 and has guided the organization’s development for over 20 years. Bob has grown Genesis from Inc. Magazine’s 3rd Fastest Growing Company in 1996, to what it is today; the largest accredited Professional Employer Organization (PEO) based in New England. The company reflects his dedication to excellence in service and unwavering focus on fulfilling the human resources, payroll, risk management and benefits needs of Genesis clients.

Bob is a past President of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) and has served on their Board of Directors. He is also Past President and Treasurer of the NAPEO New England chapter. In 2005, he was awarded NAPEO’s highest honor for leadership and commitment in the PEO industry, the Michaeline A. Doyle Award. In 2012, Bob was awarded the Golden Hammer Award by Habitat For Humanity.

Bob has been actively involved in the Human Resources industry since 1978. As a Partner and President of National Engineering Service Corporation from 1984 to 1991, he oversaw the growth of that company that was ranked 111th on Inc. Magazine’s top 500 list. Profoundly committed to the industry, Bob has been instrumental in the passage of legislation in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Vermont, including the landmark New Hampshire Employee Leasing Act. Bob holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University, and an MBA from Boston University.

Patty Hilger


Patty Hilger, as President and Chief Operating Officer, jointly focuses on the continuous improvement of strategic and tactical operations and processes within the organization. She is responsible for the design, operation and improvement of the systems that deliver our products and services. Patty’s extensive human resource management expertise encompasses over twenty years in the industry. She has developed and delivered numerous HR programs in multi-state, multi-site environments, developed and reinvigorated programs in support of strategic business goals, implemented proactive employee relations strategies, and structured competitive employee benefit plans while balancing overall costs. 

Patty holds a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Northeastern University, an MBA from Santa Clara University, and is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She is an active member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Diane Stevenson


Diane Stevenson, as President and Chief Financial Officer, jointly focuses on the continuous improvement of strategic and tactical operations and processes within the organization. She oversees all the financial operations and directs the financial planning and accounting practices. Under her direction, Genesis continually evaluates its services to ensure that clients have access to state of the industry offerings that will help them grow and improve their competitive position.

An integral part of the company’s dynamic group of team-oriented professionals, Diane helps Genesis maintain the high standards of excellence required for accreditation by the Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC). She is also a member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organization (NAPEO) Accounting Practices Committee – the committee that sets the standards for the PEO industry.

Prior to joining Genesis, Diane was the Controller for Medical Management Sciences, Inc, Controller for Search Temps, Inc, and a Senior Tax Consultant for Ernst & Whinney.

Diane is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Accounting, and obtained her CPA designation from the state of New York.

Jeff Needham


Jeff Needham is Senior Software Architect. Jeff is responsible for the company’s IT and the development of numerous applications that streamline and enhance the services Genesis provides.

He is the principal architect of the MyGenesisHR secure portal that provides Genesis clients and employees with a comprehensive set of easy-to-use tools. The portal has been hailed by both management and employees as a superb resource and productivity tool.

Jeff has been an integral part of the Genesis team for more than ten years and is firmly focused on the continuing adaptation of our technology to customer needs. Jeff graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in Computer Science.

Carla Savchuk


Carla Savchuk is the Internal Operations Manager for Genesis and is responsible for the management of our payroll department operations. She ensures the timely and accurate processing of payrolls, compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act, and accuracy in multi-state processing.  

A key contributor to the success of Genesis for more than ten years, Carla is a leader in demonstrating our continuing dedication to excellent customer service. Prior to joining the Genesis team, Carla was Payroll Supervisor for Lotus Development Corporation in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Carla is a member of the American Payroll Association and holds both the Fundamental Payroll Certification and the Certified Payroll Professional Designation.
