Here are this week’s links to a few good stories that we found and selected because we feel they might add valuable insights and perspectives for small to medium size businesses.
- Now that tax day has come and gone it might be a good time to consider building more value for your small business. 15 Things To Do To Protect Value After April 15 written by Kevin Scott of Ervin Cohen & Jessup, LLP and posted on the JD Supra website contains some great advice that addresses employee agreements, confidentiality, employee obligations, handbooks and much more. There is no time like the present to building value for your business.
- Can video really work as a marketing tool? We have used videos on our website for some time and believe the impact is significant. JJ Ramburg of MSNBC agrees and in a video posted on the American Express Open Forum website entitled Using Video As A Marketing Tool she makes the argument that using video may be very effective and not be as costly as you think.
- Does it make sense to hire employees with entrepreneurial qualities? Nora Feist thinks so. In Intrapreneurship: I Hire Entrepreneurial Employees (And Here’s Why) posted on the YFS Magazine website, she says “You don’t have to be a CEO to exhibit entrepreneurial behavior. Intrapreneurs, employees acting as entrepreneurs, can also change the work environment with their new ideas.” I couldn’t agree more.
