On June 6, 2017, the Genesis Community Fund presented two scholarships to Lexington residents at Town Hall. This year’s recipients are Robin Beaulieu and Noah Shute.
Just like in 2016, this year’s recipients are both are graduates of Lexington High School.
- Robin Beaulieu, who was awarded the Genesis Community Fund scholarship in 2016 is entering her final year at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH where she is majoring in International Affairs and Spanish. In 2016, she spent a year abroad studying in Peru.
- Noah Shute is a 2017 graduate of Lexington High School, where he was the track and field captain and a Boston Herald All-Scholastic. He will be a member of the Wake Forest class of 2021 and plans to study accounting.
This marks the 21st consecutive year that scholarships have been awarded by the Genesis Community Fund.
The fund was started in 1996 and is subsidized by the Battlegreen Run Foundation, which manages the Genesis Battlegreen Run held annually on the first Sunday in November. This year’s race is scheduled for Sunday, November 5, 2017. For more information, see the Battlegreen Run Foundation website.
