Here are this week’s links to a few good stories that we found and selected because we feel they might add valuable insights and perspectives for small to medium size businesses.

  • Small Business owners are turning to social media using surveys as a method to drive traffic to their website or so says Scott Martin who wrote Small Business Customer Service Tools:  Social Media, Surveys for USA Today.  The article also has a short video to show how one small business owner made it work.
  • Speaking of videos, Open Forum posted an interesting one entitled Top Five Tips To Avoid Interruptions, courtesy of Entrepreneur.com.  Misuse of the daily “To-Do List” is my top pick.
  • Finally, perhaps those employees who work remotely are more productive than they would be if they worked at the office.  John McDermott wrote Report: Remote Workers More Engaged, Committed for Inc. Magazine.  The basis for the article comes from a blog post written by Scott Edinger for the Harvard Business Review.
