On June 7, 2016, the Genesis Community Fund presented two scholarships to Lexington residents at Town Hall. Both are graduates of Lexington High School.
- Robin Beaulieu is finishing her sophomore year at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire. She is majoring in International Affairs and Spanish. She spent a year abroad studying in Peru.
- Sam Williams is finishing his third year at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He is studying to become a marine engineer.
This marks the 20th consecutive year that scholarships have been awarded by the Genesis Community Fund. The fund began in 1996 and is supported by the Battlegreen Run Foundation, which manages the Genesis Battlegreen Run held annually on the first Sunday in November.
